Understand your investment options

Understand your investment options

The investment of your pension savings must reflect your preferences in terms of risk and return, but it can be difficult to choose the right solution. Your savings are invested in market rate and this gives you several options to influence how your savings are to be invested.

Here you will find a brief introduction to your options with PFA so that you can better assess which solution is right for you. We recommend that you use the investment guide on My PFA, where you can receive a specific recommendation on how to invest your savings.

What should you consider

It can be overwhelming to decide how your pension savings should be invested and which level of risk suits you. But do not worry, here you will get an overview of your options and help to choose the right solution by answering three questions:

1. Should PFA or you yourself manage the investment of your savings?

2. Should the risk be fixed or gradually reduced as you get older?

3. What should be the focus of the investment of your savings?

1. Should PFA or you yourself manage the investment of your savings?

It is up to you to decide whether PFA should manage the investment of your pension savings or whether you want to select which funds to place the savings in yourself.

If you want to select the funds yourself, you can choose to place all or part of your savings in You Invest

2. Should the risk be fixed or gradually reduced as you get older?

If you choose PFA to manage the investment of your savings, you can select either PFA Invests or PFA Flexible. Regardless of which solution you choose, you must then decide which level of risk your savings should be invested with:

PFA Invest

You choose your own investment profile. You can choose between Profile Low, Profile Medium or Profile High. The risk is automatically gradually reduced in the three profiles so that it becomes lower as you approach pension payout age and continues after you have started receiving payouts.

PFA Flexible

You decide the allocation between the Low and High-risk funds. In PFA Flexible, the risk is fixed and you must therefore decide for yourself whether you want to change your risk as you approach pension payout age.

3. What should be the focus of the investment of your savings?

Once you have chosen whether your savings should be placed in PFA Invests or PFA Flexible, you must choose whether your pension savings should be invested with a broad investment focus that is regularly adjusted in line with the world situation, an increased focus on climate or a simpler solution with index-tracking investments.
