Let us help your child

Distress in children may manifest itself in many different ways – from the initial mild symptoms such as unease and nervousness to persistent symptoms such as anxiety, sleeplessness and stress. When children are distressed over long periods of time and the symptoms persist, there may be a need for psychological assistance or some other form of treatment.

We focus on the whole family

A child who is distressed often affects the whole family, and as a parent of a child who is distressed, you may experience doubt and uncertainty – not least in relation to what is best for your child. It can build up and eventually affect you both mentally and physically. We therefore offer help to parents so that they can support their child in the best possible way – it can help create mental resilience, peace of mind and security.

More options for help

We are ready to help you and your child with advice and guidance. Together we can get to the bottom of what is needed in your particular situation, so that your family can get back to a normal everyday life as soon as possible. You can either get counselling and guidance to get the right help from our health advisers or get online help from a psychologist or family therapist.

Mental health among children and young people

15 per cent of all children are treated for a psychological disorder before they turn 18. For example, ADHD, anxiety or depression.

On the whole, these are the most frequent illnesses among children and young people between 1 and 24 years of age.
