It is easy to get help if you fall ill or get injured

Your health is just as important as your savings, and therefore it is easy to get help if you need counselling and help about health, well-being and treatment issues.

Health and well-being

Get help with preventive measures, well-being and early intervention if you are at risk of becoming ill, stressed or want to have a healthier lifestyle. The sooner you react to symptoms the better.

Quick treatment

Whether it concerns minor ailments or more comprehensive treatment programmes, we can help you to easily get an examination and quick access to treatment. An early intervention can make a big difference.

Peace of mind and support

We are with you throughout the process, also if you can no longer work. We will help you with advisory services and support and, in worst case scenarios, we can also offer compensation for you or your dependants.

When you call PFA, you will be met by employees with a high level of healthcare expertise such as, for example, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, medical consultants or occupational therapists. You will receive guidance and support whether it concerns initial symptoms, a disease or injury that has already occurred and if you are absent due to illness. If you call Novo's special hotlines, you will be talking to a psychologist or a substance abuse consultant.

You will get individual assistance tailored to your specific needs. If you become absent due to illness or are about to be so, we will ensure that you have the same contact person who will be with you throughout the process so that you have the best conditions for returning to your normal everyday life.

You will be assisted by the best-qualified treatment specialists from PFA’s quality-assured network or via public sector offers and PFA will follow up on the quality of the treatments on an ongoing basis. You can also get assistance with getting an overview of your options in terms of treatment offers, patient rights, waiting times and patient associations.

Making it easy to get help

Are you ill at ease or do you experience symptoms of stress?

Even mild symptoms of failure to thrive may be the early signs of stress or other mental challenges that may develop into something more serious. Therefore, it is important that you get help quickly - regardless of whether you are experiencing mild or persistent symptoms. The typical signs of failure to thrive are having trouble sleeping, feeling uneasy, anxiety and an impaired memory. These are your body’s signals telling you that you are not OK.

Therefore, it is important that you call the Mental well-being hotline if you do not thrive or experience symptoms of stress. Here, you can get advice and guidance from a psychologist who will also assess whether there is a need for additional assistance.

Call the Mental well-being hotline at (+45) 71 12 50 00.

Are you in pain?

Pain in your back, a sore knee or a stiff neck can turn the day into a nightmare. Typically, such symptoms will not go away if you just keep working as before, so it is important to address all injuries and ailments before they get too serious.

If you are in pain, you need to call PFA’s Health Centre. Here you can get help and exchange ideas with a health professional who will advise you about how to treat your pain optimally. Even small issues can develop further and turn into a long period of unnecessary pain, so the quicker you call the sooner you can start on an effective treatment.

If your treatment requires a referral from a doctor, it can also be a good idea to contact your own doctor before calling PFA. However, you are also free to call PFA first and learn more about the optimal form of treatment.
