Your pension and health care scheme has been further improved

If you are a salaried employee, your pension savings and occupational capacity insurance will, as a rule, be handled by the Danish pension fund PFA. In the new agreement with PFA, your occupational capacity insurance has been improved, and you now have more investment options. Furthermore, your insurance cover is less expensive, which means that a larger share of your payments will go to savings.

Adjustment of the gradual risk reduction

In all investment profiles in PFA Invests, the risk is gradually reduced as retirement approaches, and the need for security increases. In future, the gradual reduction will begin 10 years later than previously, which means that the investment profile will, to a greater extent, reflect that we live longer and stay in the labour market longer. If you have investment profile C, it means that the gradual risk reduction will begin when you have 13 years left until retirement.

Select PFA Optional if you want to avoid the gradual reduction

If you would like to avoid the automatic gradual reduction in PFA Invests, you can now select PFA Optional instead of PFA Invests. In PFA Optional, you can decide the distribution between the high-risk and low-risk fund yourself. These two funds also form the basis of the investment profiles A-D in PFA Invests. You cannot select PFA Optional if you are covered by the Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees in Industry.

If you are in doubt, you can go through the investment guide at ‘My PFA’ (mitpfa.dk) to get a recommendation on which solution best matches your return expectations and risk appetite.

Significant improvements of your health plan

The health insurance scheme has been improved, which means that a doctor’s referral is no longer required if you need treatment by a chiropractor, reflexologist, acupuncturist or psychologist in connection with stress symptoms, and you can choose your own practitioner.

As something new, you also get access to an anonymous psychological hotline from which you can get advice about stress on all workdays from 8:00 to 20:00 CET. The hotline can help you move on with good advice and clarify whether treatment is needed. A session typically lasts 15-30 minutes.

You will also get access to an anonymous health care hotline if you need help to, for instance, fall asleep, get into shape, quit smoking or if you need advice on how to lose weight. You can get a single conversation or a programme with up to four conversations.

Online health check and on-site health check

From 1 May, all employees can have an online health check and a recommendation for how to change their health-related habits for the better. Afterwards, you can get advice over the phone. In addition, you can have a 30-minute health check, during which your hand strength and lung function as well as your blood sugar and cholesterol levels, if needed, will be measured, and you can have a talk about stress and sleep. Fitness tests can also be booked through our Fitness Wellness centres.

You will get better occupational capacity coverage

The standard cover of your occupational capacity insurance will be increased automatically so that it, in future, amounts to 60 per cent of your salary* if your occupational capacity is reduced by 50 per cent or more. This change does not apply to you if your occupational capacity is already reduced or if your coverage is 60 per cent or more. Furthermore, you will have the possibility of receiving an extra annual payout of up to DKK 179,916 if you are eligible for public job rehabilitation benefit.

Get help and guidance if you get a 2-week or more notification of illness

Your occupational capacity insurance also gives you access to PFA EarlyCare®, where you can get help and guidance from PFA’s social and health care specialists if you get a two-week or more notification of illness. You can get help with clarifying your state of health and get advice on which initiatives can help you return to work sooner.

Please call PFA EarlyCare® at (+45) 70 80 82 42.

*If you are not covered by a collective agreement, the salary (basic salary) is calculated on an annual basis. If you are covered by a collective agreement, the salary (basic salary with supplements) is the average of the past 12 months’ variable salary elements – both calculated on an annual basis.
