PFA appoints new Chairman
Torben Dalby Larsen was elected new Chairman of the Board of Directors in PFA on 28 April 2016. The election took place at the initial board meeting that followed the annual general meeting earlier the same day.
In his capacity of Chairman, Torben Dalby Larsen will be flanked by the two Vice-Chairmen who are also newly elected: Niels-Ulrik Mousten and Peter Ibsen.
Torben Dalby Larsen has long-standing experience with board duties, and since 2015, he has served as Vice-Chairman of PFA's Board of Directors. In addition, he is Managing Director and Chief Editor of Sjællandske Medier. In connection with his election, he says:
- I am happy to accept election as new Chairman of the Board of Directors in PFA. I am rather familiar with PFA and have served as Vice-Chairman in the Board of Directors since 2015. This means that I have taken part in defining the path that PFA has set out through Strategy2020, which is the path that we will continue to follow with me as Chairman.
He explains:
- PFA’s Strategy2020 is an ambitious strategy with a number of well-defined objectives that are to advance PFA’s position as the largest commercial pension company and at the same time adjust the company to the challenging market situation which the pension industry and society is experiencing in general, such as low financial growth, turmoil in the share markets and keen competition.
Torben Dalby Larsen takes over the chairmanship after Svend Askær, who has chaired PFA’s Board of Directors since 1999. Svend Askær will continue as a member of the Board of Directors. He says:
- It is very satisfying to be able to end my chairmanship at a time when the company is doing well, and when the new executive management is complete and the strategy has been finalised.
Two vice-chairmen were also elected at the initial board meeting, namely Niels-Ulrik Mousten and Peter Ibsen. Niels-Ulrik Mousten is a new member of the Board of Directors. He is CEO at Netsuom Aps, and previously, he was managing director of Danske Capital. In addition, he is member of the board of directors in Danske Private Equity A/S and Hovedstadens Liberale Erhvervsklub. Peter Ibsen has been a member of PFA's Board of Directors since 2008.
At PFA’s AGM, Lasse Grønbech, Director, and Lone Engberg Thomsen, Trade Union President, were elected as new members of the Board of Directors.
